So I ordered 2 WD Raptor 10K RPM 500GB SATA drives to put in this machine.

I have to replace the failed drive, but replace 1 and I might as well replace the other knowing its just consumer drive that could fail a week after I do the current failed one. So they do not want to replace this system even though we all know it should be replaced. So it seems the drives haven't been in sync for quite a while. It was a password from several password changes ago. When I did try booting to Secondary Plex just to see, everything looked different and trying to login the ADMIN account we could not use the current password being used. I talked to another IT friend and he said just boot into Secondary Plex and run like that. Looking in disk management DISK0 shows to be missing and failed, and rebooting BIOS is reporting SMART failuire on DISK0 failed and should be backed up and replaced. There is no true enterprise/server hardware anywhere on this machine. It's not even RAID from using the motherboard.
#Replacing drive windows 2011 home server software
The previous IT company I acquired built this "SERVER" out of a desktop system running Windows SBS 2011 on a 6 core AMD processor and decided to go against a hardware raid so instead went with a software "raid"/mirror setup in windows using 2 500GB Seagate consumer desktop harddrives. They have someone in-house that handles the small day to day stuff but just recently signed a managed services contract with me.

This is a system owned by a customer that I picked up when my company acquired a competitor here in town. So I am dealing with a failed disk mirror on SBS2011.
